Snickerdoodles


Ingredients:

1 Cup butter or margarine, softened
1-1/2 Cups Sugar
2 Eggs
1 Teaspoon Vanilla
2-2/3 Cups unsifted flour
1 Teaspoon Cream of Tartar
1/2 Teaspoon soda
1/4 Teaspoon salt
2 Tablespoons Sugar
2 Teaspoons Cinnamon



Directions:

Preheat oven to 400. In mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour, cream of tartar, soda, and salt. Shape dough into balls, using rounded teaspoon of dough for each. Combine sugar and cinnamon; roll balls of dough in sugar mixture. Place 2" apart on ungreased baking sheets. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are set.

Makes about 44 cookies. Serves 8-10
